I know, from over 40 years of experience working with writers, how difficult and frustrating the journey to completion of a writing project can be. I also know how crucial it is to have experienced assistance and good companionship along the road.
I have always been a writer (I wrote my first poem when I was 8) and love to work with writers, helping them bring their visions to fruition. I have always dreamed of creating a space where working writers could find guidance and mutual support.
My background:
I was trained first as a college literature and writing teacher, then as a psychotherapist, then as a life coach. The knowledge and skills I gained from these studies and associated work experience have proven invaluable in my ability to coach writers both individually and in groups.
I have a special interest and expertise in helping women find their unique "voices" and in helping mature writers complete academic and other writing projects.
My own family is filled with writers, from my husband to my adult sons and their spouses. In fact, I was inspired to start this blog by their example and with their support.
I live just north of New York City in the Eastern time zone.
